Fright Night, Haunted Trail this 10th annual fundraiser organized by the FVHS Interact Club features games, food, activities, and a main Haunted Trail attraction. The afternoon session is designed to be family friendly for younger kids while it is still light outside, moving into a flat-rate full-fright experience in the evening
The Fright Night: Haunted Trail is an annual Halloween tradition in Fuquay-Varina, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Organized primarily by the Fuquay-Varina High School (FVHS) Interact Club in partnership with local groups like Scout Troop 75 and the Downtown Fuquay-Varina Rotary Club, it functions as a major community fundraiser.
The event takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the American Legion Post 116.
The Trail Experience
The evening is split into two distinct sessions to accommodate different age groups and fear tolerances:
- Kid-Friendly Session (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM): Tailored for families with younger children or those who are easily frightened. While it is still daylight outside, the trail features tame, spooky elements, arts and crafts, festive games, and fun seasonal activities.
- The Main Fright Night Trail (7:00 PM – 10:00 PM): Once the sun goes down, the trail transforms into a full-fright experience. It features live actors, intense jump scares, and scary costumed characters scattered throughout the dark wooded path.
Food & Entertainment
Beyond the trail itself, the event has a festival-like atmosphere. Attendees can purchase a variety of carnival-style food and treats, including:
- Hot dogs
- Popcorn
- Cotton candy
Admission & Charity Impact
Tickets can be purchased ahead of time or at the gate on the day of the event. Ticket sales from the event directly benefit essential community resources and regional aid programs, with past proceeds supporting causes like the Fuquay-Varina Emergency Food Pantry, the Rotary Clean Water Project, and disaster relief funds.
